In 2009 I created the Canoe Corner blog. It reflected who we were at the time and the place that we live. I had great fun sharing my adventures in gardening and learning to cultivate all variety of plants in my new maritime climate. Over the years I have expanded continually and we now actively garden over 6000 square feet of land. All this is done in an organic and sustainable way. I don't use pesticides or herbicides and I focus on heritage and other open pollinated plants. My mother saved seed when I was a child and I have carried on the tradition of keeping my favourites and growing them out for the next year. With my 2022 garden expansion I found I was able to grow enough to share. Both I and the garden have grown and it is time for a new name. Thistledown Seed can be found on Facebook and Instagram for PEI grown seed. Our website is thistledownseed.ca
