There were lots of new additions this year thanks to some brilliant organizers. We not only had plants but used garden books and fresh cut rhubarb for sale.

Some industrious volunteer had re-used a Liberal party candidate sign to advertise the chicken manure. Every time I looked I had to giggle.
I'll bet you're wondering if I bought anything this year. I had planned to keep my purchases to a minimum since my flower garden is getting somewhat full but I did manage to slide just a couple pretties into my car.
Another butternut tree, Solomon's Seal, several hardy geraniums, a daphne and some euphorbia. You know, just a couple things!

You did well. I have a hard time coming home from a plant sale with just a few plants. I am glad to read that the sale was successful!

I think that is a very good use for that sign lol! Very resourceful on someone's part. I recognize that place - that's where we had the IBC BBQ last summer (and you had that car accident!) Perhaps you can come this year!
Although the sign was great, and made me laugh, I have to say...I sure would have loved a load of that liberal stuff!!
Karin, I brought a set amount of cash so that certainly helped! Trying to be very strict this year in what I buy.

Sandy, we must be very careful around sales. The fact that the plants are cheap just makes them harder to resist!
You're exactly right! Inman park is such a great space. Lots of room and we love swimming there in summer as the water is warm and not too deep.
Even funnier, our local Liberal candidate showed up at the sale to buy plants! I wonder if she noticed...
