First Bouquet of the Season

Flowers have begun to appear in the last couple weeks and I was able to pick my first bouquet of the year recently.

While I don't have a large selection of flowers, it isn't necessary to have a huge vase full of blooms to make an impact.

These dainty red bells liven up any room.

With just a stem or two of asparagus and wild ferns to fill it out.

  2. Hi Marguerite, I am forever guilty of creating a big ball when I put flowers together. An open airy arrangement like the one you have made is so much nicer! These are great pictures too!

  3. Beautiful proof that simplicity is king. You've made a sweet arrangement to be enjoyed. I hadn't thought to include ferns in my vases but you can bet I will now!

  7. I love your bouquet...the green and red make such an impact. I made a bouquet of yarrow and lilies last week...it is that time of year. :)
