First Bouquet of the Season

Flowers have begun to appear in the last couple weeks and I was able to pick my first bouquet of the year recently.

While I don't have a large selection of flowers, it isn't necessary to have a huge vase full of blooms to make an impact.

These dainty red bells liven up any room.

With just a stem or two of asparagus and wild ferns to fill it out.

Love the red against the green

Hi Marguerite, I am forever guilty of creating a big ball when I put flowers together. An open airy arrangement like the one you have made is so much nicer! These are great pictures too!

Beautiful proof that simplicity is king. You've made a sweet arrangement to be enjoyed. I hadn't thought to include ferns in my vases but you can bet I will now!

I love your bouquet...the green and red make such an impact. I made a bouquet of yarrow and lilies last week...it is that time of year. :)
